Redeeemer's Rejoicing/Testimony

"My Time at Redeemer's Recovery Ranch has been amazing! Redeemer's is truly filled with the Spirit of the Lord. This wonderful Christ centered ministry reaches out to women who are in need of recovery and I was definitely in need of that! When I came to RRR I had been an alcoholic for quite some time. I tried to quit by myself and did not succeed. I felt as if my life was hopeless. Little did I know that what God had in store for me was at Redeemer's. He worked through everyone here to teach me that I didn't have to do anything alone. Jesus Christ, My Lord and Savior is always with me! I was able to restore my relationship with Christ by God working through his word, the counselors and just everyone here. I am leaving here a new woman filled with a renewed faith in the Lord and more hope for my life than I know what to do with. I thank God everyday for bringing me to Redeemer's Recovery Ranch." from Kristen, a student completing the program at RRR

I always think it's awesome to see the change in people from when they first arrive at a place like Redeemer's to the day they drive off, hand in hand with husband or wife, family together in the 'ol car, or maybe staying to manage the halfway house for a while.

That change is nothing less than miraculous, and that's the whole thing secular programs miss out on- their clientele doesn't get what it really takes to make a real change, and even with this lack, they often pay thousands and thousands of dollars per month.

If I went to a 30 day program, paying $1,000 every day, I better come out with an IRA, an established business with employees and products, and hopefully a car. The last three cars I've owned were purchased for around $1,000, so it would be possible.

But miracles don't happen from copying a bunch of sheets of paper about neurotransmitters, gateway drugs and the damage one can do to one's body by using drugs.

Miracles are something that happens that's unbelievable- unreal...not possible, no way man!

But the core of Christian treatment obviously finds roots in the idea that Jesus walked around on Earth, died, and then came back to life before going to Heaven to rule the world. Now that's some deep and hard to believe stuff there!

But for me, it was easier to believe that, after I saw people like "Rick" come into the Christian program I went to ( Christian Love Ministires in Murphy, NC )because I did see a dead man get up and walk again. Not only walk, he got to telling jokes, talking loudly- I mean the guy was completely annoying, but he was ALIVE!
I don't know if he's still clean today, or alive, but I know miracles happen when you believe they can. And when you don't, but you see one happen- over and over and over, you become a believer too- that Jesus did probably walk on water.... I heard "Mark" tell a story about showing up in the Emergency Room with a blood alcohol level of .49 . That's not a product of the legal limit- that means that a good portion of his entire bloodstream WAS alcohol, and he drove himself there. Ask a doctor- that ain't possible.

I've SEEN miracles happen, so I don't doubt them anymore just because they were written in a book 2,000 - 4,000 years ago.

Hey- take my example. I actually got saved while I was there. "Got saved" was something I didn't even think was grammatically correct, much less worthwhile investigating...And here I am 10 years later constructing the website for the place that took my worthless rear end in- for FREE. So I've done my best to maintain their website over the last 5 or 6 years, what else can you repay someone for offering you a miracle- free of charge?

It's a vast empire for thought in my head still today, but I know one thing- Miracles happen, every day of the week.

I hope some of the people from this blog will come to add to the blog I will be assembling at www.Blog.ChristianLoveMinistries.net ... I'd like to hear some stories- maybe yours' that's nothing less than miraculous. It's inspiring to hear things that can't happen- happen.

I'll never really know if Jesus lived or died at all, because I'm not supposed to- miracles aren't made of facts or figures, they're made of faith and forgiveness.
